Inspired By....

Yousuf Karsh:

Yousuf Karsh is a photographer that I hope to one day be like. If i can be even a tiny pinch of what his portraits are I'll feel accomplished. He's had the honor of photographing some of America (and the world's) most influential people in the spot light of everything from politics to science and even acting and the president's wife! His portrait's are simple and classic and capture part of the model that may be over looked on a day to day basis. In his photo shoot with Helen Keller, the pictures he captures show an unbelievable relationship between Helen and her helper that may go unseen daily. In the portraits he took of Jacqueline Kennedy he capture a beautiful, almost royal type portrait of a person who seems to be almost holding back and shy and it's quite beautiful and simply elegant. Karsh's style is very much what I hope to end up like.

Nigel Barker is a contemporary portrait/fashion photographer who is big on clean lines and alot of the same ideas I am which is why Im so attracted to his work. I think the lighting he uses in his black and white photo's are beautiful and i love the angles he uses in alot of his work as well. The pictures are crisp and the colors are bright and clean. I love his work and the fashion feeling he gives them. If i could do a shoot like that I would be in heaven. :)
